Bay United will play Kaizer Chiefs in the second match of this year's Eastern Cape Premier’s Cup, scheduled to take place on Saturday the 4th of July 2009. The game starts at 13h30 at the new Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

In the first match of the tournament, scheduled for 11am on the same day and at the same stadium, Supersport United play Bloemfontein Celtic.

The winners of both matches meet in the final at 5pm on the same afternoon at the very same venue. Tickets cost R20 (R30 for grandstand) and are available at Computicket, all Shoprite Checkers and MTN retail stores.

Fans are urged to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment as tickets will not be sold on match day. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Thebe thoroughout the day.

Now in its second year, the four-team soccer tournament is fast becoming one of the highlights on the year's soccer calendar.

This year it is proudly joint sponsored by the Eastern Cape Provincial Government and the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality.

It is the municipality’s objective to bring the best of football to the many fans in Port Elizabeth. In its initial year the event attracted in excess of 5000 fanatical fans as teams such as Platinum Stars, Bloemfontein Celtic, Super Sport United and Bay United competed for the inaugural title.

It was Platinum Stars who took home first prize, beating Supersport United on penalties.
